| Well, that's how far we got this year. All we really have left is landscaping
and deck lighting. We did not want to landscape it this year as we are
going to enclose the entire perimeter and we want to see how the deck
fairs over the winter. In the spring we will climb under the deck and
take some pictures and check for any settling or shifting that may have
occurred. We don't expect any problems but we want to be sure before
we enclose it. So, next spring we will landscape it and light it and
show some follow up pictures of its completion. As a final note we want to say our city inspector was very impressed with the design both in look and in structural function. He had no issues whatsoever in the decks construction meeting any codes and never questioned any building techniques. He actually really liked the deck support system. The deck was quite easy to build and actually I did a fair portion of it by myself. It would not have taken all summer by any means if it weren't for a couple of things. I did not take ant time off work to do this, weekends and weeknights only. I could have asked for more help as plenty of people offered but I guess I never did. We also enjoyed the pool during this very hot Minnesota summer so we took some weekends off to play. I do want to thank the following people for all there help and support. My family Sheryl, Brittani, Bailey & Cody who helped all summer and put up with my obsession of this deck, thanks so much. My neighbors Tom, Chris, Todd, Bob, Tracy & Dave who helped me off and on during the summer from bobcat work to running utility lines, Tom the "saw guy" for his hours of hand cutting with his trusty skill saw, the initial pool set-up, and so many other details too many to mention.
